The story unlocks once you make your call.
A myth. Trained goldfish remember tricks for months.
Where it came from
Nobody knows who first said it, but it neatly explained why a fish could swim around the same small bowl all day without getting bored.
What’s actually true
Goldfish can learn to push a lever for food, swim through simple mazes, and respond to a particular sound or light at feeding time. In experiments they kept those lessons for weeks or months.
Fish keepers know the everyday version: goldfish gather at the front of the tank when the person who feeds them walks in.
